ACC Liverpool // Echo Arena //

With the recent development and expansion of ACC Liverpool’s Event & Exhibition space, we were approached by the Marketing Team to help replicate a fly-through experience of the new and existing floor plan of the Echo Arena and Conference Centre based on an architectural animation, released during the construction of the expansion. Through this they wanted to present the capacity and functionality of new space as well as how it sits in situ with the existing Arena.

This was a great one for us to sink our teeth into. Using the DJI Inspire drone for all the aerial flights both exterior and interior and with some clever marshalling and ground control, we were able to give a full fly-around of the exterior of the Arena and Exhibition Space. This really helped put into context the Conference Centre’s location against the Mersey River Waterfront and locality to the city of Liverpool. Edited into this as well, we always wanted to give the impression of flight and motion, guiding the audience through the space. For the interior moments where a drone was unfeasible, we utilised the MoVI handheld rig and a set of Segway solo wheels to develop smooth tracking shots through the event space so that the camera or piece never remained static.
